Antique furniture restoration is what we do best here at Go Antique and what we’ve been doing for over 25 years. We spend our time searching for beautiful pieces of Victorian and Edwardian antique furniture at auctions and fairs all over the country, then we bring them back to our workshop where we restore them to their former glory with love, care and the best of British craftsmanship.
Our antique furniture restoration programme is inspired by Scandinavian, European and New England styles and takes time, patience and skill. It involves stripping, washing and sanding the piece of furniture before spray lacquering all or part of the piece in a specially selected paint colour.
The current interest in interiors and home improvements means that painted furniture is hugely popular. Here at Go Antique, we believe in doing things properly and so we spray lacquer our antique furniture instead of hand painting it – this gives a much smoother and more consistent finish, without any brush-marks. As you look through our site you’ll find a selection of the antique furniture pieces that we currently have for sale, however if you have a special requirement, or like something that has been sold, please contact us as we may have something similar in our workshop.
